Filet Crochet Shelf-Edgings With Patterns

 Shelf edgings are a simple way to add charm and beauty to kitchen and dining areas.

Approx 6'' wide. Each pat repeat is approx. 4.75".


MATERIALS
Crochet cotton thread. Steel crochet hook U.S. size 7.

STITCHES USED 
U.S. - Chain stitch (ch), double crochet (dc). U.K. - chain stitch, treble crochet.


GAUGE 
12 squares x 13 rows = 4" x 4''.

FILET CROCHET 
Follow the chart. An open square = 1 dc, ch 2, skip 2 sts of previous row, 1 dc. A filled square = 4 dc. On the chart, the last st of 1 square serves as the first st of the foll square.
